Ingredients list for making pav bhaji recipe

  • For The Bhaji:

  • 2 tablespoon butter or refined oil
  • 1 tablespoon cumin seeds
  • 2 medium sized onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ginger garlic grated
  • 2 large tomato, fine chopped
  • 2-3 potatoes
  • 2 medium sized capsicum  (shimla mirch),chopped
  • 2-3 carrot ,finely chopped
  • 1 cup cauliflower ,finely chopped
  • 1 cup peace
  • 1 cup beans ,finely chopped
  • 1/2 turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon red chilli powder
  • 2 table spoon pav bhaji masala
  • 1 table spoon kashmiri lal mirch powder
  • 1 table spoon kasuri methi
  • 2-3 green chilli
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Fresh coriander leaves, chopped for garnish

For The Pav:

  • 4-6 pav
  • 2-3 tablespoon butter
  • 1-2 tablespoon of bhaji
  • fresh coriander leaves
  • A pinch of pav bhaji masala(optional)

Method For Prepare bhaji recipe:

  • Heat butter or oil in a pressure cooker over medium heat.
  • Add cumin seeds and let them splutter, add 1 table spoon pav bhaji masala.
  • Add potatoes, tomatoes, peas, carrots, beans, cauliflower, and salt, and cook for 3 whistles in the pressure cooker.
  • Now, place a pan or kadhai on the gas and add 2 tablespoons of refined oil and butter. Let it heat well.
  • Add chopped onions and capsicum, and sauté for 3-5 minutes, ensuring they don’t burn.
  • Next, add ginger-garlic paste and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Then, add salt, red chili powder, Kashmiri red chili powder, turmeric powder, kasuri methi, and pav bhaji masala, and sauté everything well for 2-3 minutes.
  • Squeeze in the juice of half a lemon, and add 1 glass of water. Bring it to a boil.
  • Once it’s boiling, add the boiled vegetables from the pressure cooker and let it boil again.
  • Use a masher to mash everything well.
  • If the mixture is too thick, add a little more water and bring it to a boil. garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

Method for Prepare the Pav recipe:

  • Heat a flat pan or tawa over medium heat.
  • Add a little butter to the pan and let it melt.
  • Add some fresh coriander leaves and bhaji
  • And now, toast the pav well on both sides.
  • You can sprinkle a pinch of pav bhaji masala on the pav for extra flavor.

Serve:

  • Serve the hot bhaji in a bowl, topped with a dollop of butter and garnished with coriander leaves.
  • Place the toasted pav on the side.
  • Serve with chopped onions, lemon wedges, and a side of pickles if desired.
