- Chowmein noodles- (200 grm) fresh or dried chowmein noodles
- Water-3 cup
- Oil- 4-5 tablespoon
- Salt- according to taste
- Red chilli powder-half tablespoon
- Onion- 1 medium size ,sliced thinly
- Ginger- 1 inch finely chopped
- Garlic- 4-5 piece finely chopped
- Green chilli – 4-5 finely chopped
- Capsicum- 1 medium size, sliced thinly(red ,yellow. or green)
- Cabbage – 1 cup thinly sliced
- Carrot – 1 medium size , thinly sliced
- Soy sauce – 2 tablespoon
- Vinegar- 1 tablespoon
- Green chilli sauce – 2 table spoon
- Tomato catchup – 1 table spoon
Method for prepare the veg chowmein recipe
- Boil water in a large pot. add some salt and 1 tablespoon of oil then add the chowmein noodle
- Cook for 4-5 minutes When the noodles are soft, turn off the heat.
- Drain the water and rinse the noodles with cold water.
- After that , mix a little oil into the noodles so they don’t stick together.
- Now, place a pan on the stove and add a little oil
- Add garlic, and when it turns light brown,
- add green chilies, ginger, and onions. Don’t cook the onions too much.
- Next, add red, yellow, and green Capsicum, carrots, and cabbage, along with a pinch of salt.
- Cook everything on medium heat for 4-5 minutes until the vegetables become slightly soft.
- Then, add soy sauce, vinegar, green chili sauce, tomato ketchup, and red chili powder.
- Mix everything well, cover the pan, and let it cook on low heat for 5 minutes.
- After 5 minutes, remove the lid and check if the sauce is cooked well.
- Then add the chow mein noodles and mix everything thoroughly.
- Cook on low heat for another 2 minutes.
- After 2 minutes, turn off the heat And our veg chow mein is completely ready.
